The Grass Has 'Riz.....
I Wonder Where My Breton Is?
Well technically speaking it is still flipping freezing and this is not a breton, but the sun has shone nearly all week.
I found my linen striped jumper I got last Spring and it has that feel good factor about it so, despite it's lack of wool content, it had to be worn today.
I love pairing spots and stripes still ( last seen here). This scarf will be a Spring favourite again I think.
These jeans were a Zara bargain this week for £12.00 . I couldn't walk away from that, especially as my last beloved Zara jeans are way past their best. They are a lovely blue/grey colour and I have worn them constantly since I got them!
The Boots were a steal at Next in the Autumn for under £30 . I have loved them all winter and will continue wearing them into the Spring. Suede wedges aka Rebecaa Minkoff.
My favourite nail colour of the moment. - Essie angora cardi. A lovely deep, dusky pink. Love it. Looks chipped here - it isn't !!
I came across our wedding photos in my big sort out this week. Boy do I look young AND wrinkle free in those pictures.
15 years and 3 kids does some damage!
Still.....
A close up - tired this week , but proud of those lines and wrinkles - they tell a lot of stories!
I may be brave in April and post a wedding photo on our wedding anniversary!!

I love the little cuff on your jeans; I have been doing that too--it seems to add something, no?
ReplyDeleteI did stripes yesterday but black and tan ones. Besides, there's never a wrong time for stripes is there? I like the mix of patterns and keeping it tonal. You were brave being outside without a coat on. It is arctic where we are and sleeted on us today even. Brr.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say - I like the little poem at the top too! Your own words?
ReplyDeleteOh yes - took me ages to think that one up ....ha!
DeleteYour new jeans look terrific - and yes your stripes and dots are a fab combination. I agree that a few lines (and you barely have a few!) show off our well-lived lives! Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteI just love dots and stripes together. And that is a great shade of nail polish!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cute outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteI recently had to find my marriage certificate and came upon my wedding photo as well. I hear you on those wrinkles! Oh so many stories....heartbreaks and laughters. I wouldn't have it any other way. You are a beautiful lady!
You look absolutely adorable. Still waiting for spring here!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love the pattern mixing and these colors work nicely on you too.
ReplyDeleteI love this mixture of stripes and polka dots. This sweater looks really comfy! And what wrinkles? :) You look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Love the boots. :O)

Hi Claire, it's nice to meet you. I'm visiting via Patti's Visible Monday link up. I'm a sucker for polka dots, and mixed with stripes is heaven. You look fresh, and ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteThe vine behind you is glorious. I'd love to know what it is.

Thank you! It is actually a quince bush - flowering really quite early I think! x
DeleteWhat a bargain those jeans were - great outfit Claire - love the wedge shoe boots. Been wanting a pair for ages but not got round to it - probably left it too late now! We've all got some lines and wrinkles somewhere - shows we've lived - although I can't see any on your kite! Funny I have a favourite photo of me and hubby (with his hair!) at our wedding reception (good grief 16 years ago) that I was planning on putting on a post shortly but we're both drunk so don't know whether I should! xx
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of lines. wrinkles and bags on that their kite!! Oh go on put the drunk picture on ! Ha ha! XX
DeleteThat scarf is adorable! I love the polka dots and stripe combo. You look great, Claire. I'm jealous of your blooms. We have over a foot of snow in our yard :( XX
ReplyDeleteDots and Stripes ... put together a similar set this week myself!
ReplyDeleteYou look so sporty, relaxed and pretty in your Breton.
Oh I do love stripes whether it's a breton or not! The jeans were a steal!
