Macadamia Healing Oil Spray

Joy to my hair!

I got the small size of this product to trial a little while ago. It is not cheap and I was reluctant to splash out if it wasn't amazing.

Anyway , of course it had to prove itself a hard working little pot of brilliance didn't it!? The ends of my hair do tend to get quite dry . I think the heating we have at school doesn't help matters as they are old style hot air blowers and you can just feel the moisture being sucked out of the room!  My skin and hair seem very dry at the moment and I have been relying on some great products to keep them in good condition.

I use this spray after blow drying and before styling . My hair drinks it up. I do sometimes spray some on the ends between washes to rejuvenate dry ends. It states on the bottle that it is for ultimate shine and protection and I would agree with that. As long as you aren't heavy handed with it then you can apply a light mist wherever you feel it is needed. I would avoid roots, but mid shafts and ends are perfect.

There is a heavier version of this, but this spray version gives a fine mist of healing oil  which is plenty for me even though I have thick hair.

It gets the big thumbs up and has become a daily fixture in my products. The extra bonus is that instead of paying £22.95 for 125ml , Cheap Smells does it for £10.88 with no postage - result!

Phyto Intense Volume Mousse

 Wednesday Beauty Buys

I hate the way that some mousses leave a sticky residue in your hair or even just a 'feel' of product. I don't find that I need a lot of product in my hair to create volume. Although my hair is fine , I have a lot of it, so it is quite happy to turn into a bushy mess with a bit of the wrong product thrown in!

However, I do find that without product my hair lies very flat at the roots and I don't like that. So, I have been hunting for a simple, unfussy mousse that will add a bit of lift without residue or stickiness.

Easy? No!

I have tried a fair few in my quest.

However, this product,Phyto intense volume mousse is fantastic.

You only need a small amount as it does create incredible volume -too much for me the frst time I used it - I looked like I had been caught in a wind tunnel!

I use a small amount and apply it as close to the roots as I can get it. I leave the mid and ends clear. I then comb through to make sure it is evenly spread. Most of the product is at the top of my hair where I want the "lift".

What it says on the tin:

It creates structure, increases volume and controls the style. Acacia collagen hydrates the hair while protecting from environmental stresses. Contains a natural UV filter.

I don't find it leaves any feel of product in my hair, but it does add an amazing amount of volume. My hair is quite dry at the moment, but this mousse seems to add more shine to it rather than dry it out further. It doesn't have a strong aroma at all, in fact I would say it doesn't really smell of anything which is a huge bonus for me as I often dislike the artificial smell of hair products!

I wasn't sent this product to review . This is just something I have purchased I think is really worth the money. If you are struggling to find a product to give volume without residue I would recommend giving this a go.
